5 Must Have Indian Fusion Dishes

India is renowned all over the world for multiple reasons, one of them being its fusion dishes and delicacies. We are known to turn around some of the most authentic dishes from various cultures into something that satisfies the Indian taste buds. Through fusion dishes, one get’s to experience a different culture while the taste of the dish is adjusted according to the consumer's palette. 

Taking inspiration from some of the world-renowned cultures, here are some mouth-watering fusion dishes that you could easily find in India. I’m a north Indian and this blog might seem a bit biased, so please just bear with me.

Originating in our neighboring country Nepal, these bite-sized delicacy has become a pop culture phenome in the capital. Keeping the authentic shape and look of the dish, the Indian momo fusion kicks in through the various ways they are cooked. According to another blog, a shop in Delhi called ‘Game of Momos’ serves over 70 different types of dumplings. That’s right,70+ types of momos that aren’t even Indian, to begin with.

Tandoori Paneer Pizza


Pizza is one of the most common that is played and tested around with. From freshly baked Italian pizza to Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, you can find different recipes worldwide. In India, we love our tandoors, that smoky barbequed flavor, and PANEER. A fusion of Italian-style bread with our tandoori paneer is the ultimate combo for me and Dominos has nailed it in terms of how this pizza should taste.

Another East Asian delicacy that we Indian have adopted and made our own. These Chinese stir-fried noodles with some veggies and sometimes meat, are now an everyday Indian snack. It is more of a fast food than a fusion dish that one could quickly get at most of the restaurants in India.

Just the sound of it is enough to get cravings.

Ending the blog with another banger recipe from Mr. Brar- Spicy Parantha Quesadilla. A unique fusion of Mexican snacks with a north Indian breakfast, this dish is basically a plain paratha, folded and filled with quesadilla filling, like potato, cheese, coriander, and other ingredients you might like.
