Just add flour, and water and knead it into a dough, and voila you have a myriad of possibilities at your mercy. Noodles are the epitome of adaptability and durability, and it is because of this versatility that they have become a globally loved snack.
The earliest historical reference to noodles that could be found was in a Chinese dictionary from the third century A.D. The earliest Chinese noodles, on the other hand, were turned into small bits and thrown into a wok of boiling water rather than becoming strands of dough. Mian pian, a kind of noodle, is still popular in China.
Noodles have been a staple meal in many parts of the world for at least 2,000 years, but it’s disputable if the current form of the stringy pasta was invented first by the Chinese, Italians, or Arabs.
